Here is everything you need to know about Poyanil Nursing College
Poyanil Hospital is a privately owned medical center serving the primary and sub-specialty health care needs of Kozhencherry and its adjoining areas. Considering the need of the locality to have a nursing college that can keep up high standards in the nursing profession and its experience in establishing and administering the Poyanil Hospital and the School of Nursing, the Poyanil Hospital decided to set up a nursing college under its management.
The college of nursing, which got approval from the government of Kerala, Kerala University of Health Sciences, Kerala Nursing Council, and Indian Nursing Council, was inaugurated on September 30, 2010. Of the total strength of 40 students per year, 50% are given to government quotas. The Management collects fees as approved by the government of Kerala.
The institution was initially offering a diploma in nursing. But as the years rolled on, its rays had spread to other latitudes in nursing education, such as B.Sc. (Nursing) in 2010. The college is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences in Trichur and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and the Kerala Nursing Council. The College believes in preparing nurses from all states of India and abroad to meet the great challenges of service in the field of nursing. Nursing must keep itself abreast of new findings, enabling it to advance along with other health professionals.
